Spatio-Temporal Changes and Influencing Factors of Meteorological Dry-Wet in Northern China during 1960–2019

In northern China, precipitation fluctuates greatly and drought occurs frequently, which mark some of the important threats to agricultural animal husbandry production. Understanding meteorological dry-wet change evolution law events in China has guiding significance for regional disaster prevention mitigation. Based on standardized index (SPI), this paper explored spatio-temporal China. Our results showed that arid area (AA) semi-arid (SAA) west a trend wetting at inter-annual seasonal scales, while humid (HA) semi-humid (SHA) east different changing seasons under background drying. AA HA obvious “reverse fluctuation” characteristics summer. The frequency (DF) intensity (DI) were high low west, there was no significant difference duration (DD) severity (DS) between west. DD, DS DI SAA decreasing trend, DD SHA slight increasing decreased. summer autumn, main influencing factors drying PNA, WP, PDO TP1, fluctuations NAO-SOI, NAO-AMO PNA-NINO3.4 jointly determined SPI3 reverse
